What caught our eye at the Beeld Holiday Show 2012

This year’s Beeld Holiday Show was one of the best we’ve seen, not only because it was well attended by the public, but mostly because of the sheer variety of products displayed by a wide range of exhibitors. Our outdoor industry is certainly looking healthy.

Mouth-watering new caravans, tantalising trailers, enticing tents and appealing outdoor products were all there, not to mention the additional exhibition hall this year, devoted to all things motorbike!

Caravan & Outdoor Life magazine’s stand this year was also our best to date, and if we didn’t see you there this time, we look forward to meeting up with you next time! Our subscription sales at the show were up a whopping 25% – so we’re thrilled to have even more caravaners and campers joining our close-knit outdoor community.

While browsing through the different halls and stands, a few specific items caught our eye – and these are items that you should be on the lookout for during 2012.

JURGENS Ci: The Jurgens Ci exhibition was packed with their full range of caravans, which was a big drawcard for showgoers. With tents and awnings set up, and all the products displayed in one place, a statement about the variety of local choice came through loud and clear.

HOWLING MOON: In the same hall, under the ‘Jurgens Ci’ umbrella, was the Howling Moon stand, with their range of tents on display, and a selection of top-selling Jurgens trailers in between. The standout figure here was the Jurgens XT 160 prototype, a new player in the off-road trailer sector that’s bigger and boasts more features than the previous leader of the pack, the XT 140. This trailer is set to be available in May...
